Everything below applies to every page on this site, every strategy we publish, and every number we quote.

Every result here is hypothetical
No performance figure on this site comes from a funded account. Every one is produced either by a backtest in our own engine or by a TradingView strategy export — both simulations, run over historical data, with the outcome already known when the parameters were chosen.
Where a figure is in-sample — measured over the same window the strategy was tuned on — we say so on the same screen as the number. An in-sample result describes how well a configuration fits the past. It is not a forecast, and it is routinely far better than what the same settings go on to do.

HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN. IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM. ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.
Risk of loss
Trading futures, options, contracts for difference and other leveraged products carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Leverage works in both directions: a small adverse move can produce a loss far larger than the margin posted, andyou can lose more than your initial deposit.
Only risk capital should be used — money whose loss would not change your financial situation or lifestyle. Consider your objectives, experience and risk tolerance carefully, and seek independent advice if you are in any doubt.
What we are not
BaseEdge Labs is a software publisher. We arenot a broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, commodity pool operator, or futures commission merchant, and we are not registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Futures Association, or any equivalent body elsewhere.
We do not manage accounts, hold customer funds, place orders on your behalf, or provide personalised advice. Nothing published here is investment advice, a solicitation, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. No content on this site takes account of your circumstances, because we do not know them.
Every trading decision you make is yours, and so is every result. Our software issues signals and can send orders to a platform you connect yourself; it does not decide whether you should be trading, at what size, or on what account.
No affiliation
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to CME Group Inc., TradingView Inc., or any broker, prop firm, data vendor or platform named on this site. All product names, exchange symbols and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the markets and software a strategy was developed or tested against.
Automation carries its own risk
Where our software connects to a broker through a third-party webhook service, that connection depends on systems we do not operate. Alerts can be delayed, duplicated or dropped; a platform can be unavailable; an order can fill at a price the signal never saw. Slippage, spread, commission, gaps and outages all affect real results and none of them can be fully modelled in a backtest.
Automated trading is unattended trading. Test on a simulated account first, size conservatively, and keep a way to flatten manually.
Licence and use
Access to a private script is a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on your own TradingView account. It may not be shared, resold, sublicensed, redistributed or reverse-engineered. Access may be withdrawn for breach.
Software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BaseEdge Labs accepts no liability for any trading loss, lost profit, or consequential damage arising from its use.
